This weekend I will be releasing my Data Engineering roadmap that I will follow on my road to becoming a data engineer. Currently as part of that roadmap I am reading two books.
Fundamentals of Data Engineering by Joe Reis and Matt Housley
I am reading this book as apart of the bookclub with Operational Analytics Digest.
SQL Performance Explained by Markus Winand and Vienna Austria.
With the release of my Data Engineering roadmap you will see the different technologies I will be working on for the foreseeable future. SQL is a cardinal feature of modern data stack. As the accumulation of data increases the need of high performance SQL queries is essential. I will be exploring this book for just those reasons.
